Chozen Generation Youth Ministry


To All Parents!!

Greetings to you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ!!

Chozen Generation Youth Ministry of BCHW” are so grateful for what God has accomplished in us! We are so excited about what God is doing right now in our youth and with great expectation we await what he will do through them! We have planned an awesome calendar of events for them and hope that we can count on your support to ensure that they attend the services and events offered.

Sunday school begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. with breakfast being served.  Youth of all ages will meet in the fellowship hall. 

Wednesday night Bible study begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. 

The following changes will take place immediately:

Youth and young adult choir rehearsal will be on 1st Wednesday and Sundays immediately after Church in the fellowship hall.

Youth and Young Adult Sunday is on the 2nd Sunday.

A Friendly Reminder: Please do not send toys, electronic games, tablets ,phones, etc : And please ask your child or teen what they learned following each session!

Please we can only be successful in what God has called us to do if you bring your children!!!

College Scholarship Ministry



The Barbee’s Chapel Harvest Word Church and Ministries College Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 under the leadership of Deacon Lorena Mills, Andrene Powell and Bettie Johnson Smith, chairperson.

The mission of the Scholarship Ministry is to help graduating high school seniors, who are members of Barbee’s Chapel Harvest Word Church and Ministries (Chapel Hill location) continue their education.

Scholarship requirements:
·Each scholarship recipient must be a member of BCHW Church & Ministries (Chapel Hill location).
·Each scholarship recipient must attend church regularly (Chapel Hill location).
·Each scholarship recipient must participate in at least one ministry (Chapel Hill location).
·Each scholarship recipient must be a graduating high school senior.
·Each scholarship recipient must be accepted to a college, university, community college or technical school.
·Each scholarship recipient must work a minimum of three UNC-CH home football games per year.

Funding for the College Scholarship Fund is secured through the following ways:
·Church members and friends work a concession stand at the UNC-CH home football games (Booth 111).
·Occasional fundraisers
·Support is received from family, friends, church family and community.
